Abbotsford, BC [June 3] — Members of Abbotsford’s homeless community will hold a public demonstration tomorrow to mark the two-year anniversary of “Chicken Manure Day” and protest the continued enforcement of bylaws that displace the city’s homeless.
Using the law as a catalyst for positive social change, Pivot Legal Society works to improve the lives of marginalized communities.
In June 2013, City of Abbotsford officials spread chicken manure on a homeless camp on Gladys Avenue across from the Salvation Army, launching a human rights complaint from members of BC/Yukon Association of Drug War Survivors (DWS).
