Throughout 2024, Pivot staff engaged in local and international resistance movements and actions, alongside folks who continue to live through catastrophic loss while resisting oppressive systems.
Thanks to folks with lived/living experiences, allied organizations, community organizers, academic researchers and legal scholars, Pivot staff were able to bring our work from Vancouver to Victoria, Nelson, and Castlegar to Toronto and even Paris!
When we engage in our advocacy and public legal education work, we do not just teach; we listen, and we continuously evolve our approach and technique to further strengthen our involvement in the community.
Pivot’s work is bolstered by the love and trust we receive from our allies and supporters, and we are proud to say that throughout 2024 we continued deepening our collaboration to support community-led efforts to resist criminalization and the harms caused by colonial laws and policies.
