Development Assistant

Asha Nygra

Asha has always been interested in human rights and social justice, but she was initially drawn to Pivot’s work while studying philosophy and economics at the University of British Columbia. During this time, her interest in social justice was further strengthened and reinforced as she focused on concepts of intersectionality, social externalities, and policy-making.

Her involvement with Pivot began in 2017 as a volunteer at Passion for Justice, where her interest in development first took root. She’s elated to be working as part of Pivot's passionate team of advocates and lawyers, and is excited to learn and grow in her position.
