An internship at Pivot is a hands on experience aimed at motivated self starters who want to play a key role in all aspects of Pivot's work.
We offer internships in the following areas:
- Legal campaign work focused around primary and secondary legal research furthering Pivot's legal advocacy. These positions are reserved for current law students.
- Hope in Shadows placements are dedicated to implementing community development programs and engaging in community outreach empowering DTES residents through expression and employment.
- Development and communications placements are centered around fundraising and communications strategy. Interns will work towards generating widespread, grassroots support for Pivot’s work.
The application process is straightforward and easy.
All applicants are required to participate in an in-person or telephone interview prior to securing their placement. We ask that you provide a download link (dropbox, sendspace, etc) to your cover letter and résumé.
The cover letter and resume should clearly indicate the specific internship placements that interest you and your relevant background and experience.
Pivot’s Internship Program is tailored to the individual. In terms of time commitment, for the most part placements are fulltime – Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. – however, depending on the nature of the campaign work some part-time positions may be available.
