Promoting access to supervised consumption services and overdose prevention sites

Supervised consumption sites, like Vancouver’s Insite, save lives and connect people to other vital health services and supports. Overdose prevention sites, particularly those that are peer-led, fill a vital gap in the harm reduction spectrum. Pivot has been actively engaged in law reform efforts to remove legal barriers that stand in the way of making these services available to every person and community that needs them. In addition, we continue to support communities that boldly take action to save lives in the absence of government initiative.
