Parents Speak about B.C.'s Child Welfare System
Published February 2008. British Columbia is in the midst of a child welfare crisis. One out of every five children in the province lives below the poverty line. Over 9,271 children are living in foster care, more than half of whom are Aboriginal. For generations the system has consistently failed children and their families in spite of legislative reform, internal reorganization and changing governments.

Solving the Housing Crisis in Canada's Poorest Neighbourhood

housing is built and the current stock of low cost housing
continues to close and deteriorate at its present rate, visitors
to Vancouver in 2010 will see nearly three times as many homeless
people living on the streets of Vancouver as they see today,
according to findings in Pivot Legal Society’s housing
