Sex work law reform continued

PIVOT’S HISTORY ON SEX WORK ISSUES

Pivot Legal Society has worked with sex workers since its earliest days. Our efforts have focused on educating sex workers about their rights and facilitating their involvement in the law reform process.

It has always been Pivot’s position that sex workers are themselves experts in their own experience and should be consulted in any subsequent law reform.

As Pivot’s position was formulated from the opinions and experiences of current sex workers, it is not surprising that Pivot and SWUAV share similar opinions on law reform. Pivot is pleased to be involved in SWUAV’s constitutional challenge while at the same time, remain in a position to advance public awareness around sex work issues and continue to listen to the opinions of all sex workers.
